Watch in Focus
Not every great lens has to cost a month's paycheck. Here's a closely-focused image of a display of Invicta watches captured with a Rokinon 12mm f2.0 NCS CS manual-focus lens on a micro four thirds camera. B&H lists the lens for $299 USD. The image foreground is razor-sharp, and there's beautiful background bokeh. On the Olympus PEN-F, accurate focus can be obtained by using focus peaking. This image was shot at f2.8. The Rokinon has no electrical connection to the camera, but on the PEN-F a manual generic description can be entered in the image EXIF. Raw conversion and processing in ON1 Photo RAW 2018.5.

Lens Versatility
A demonstration of this lens wide open at minimum focusing distance -- just under 10 inches. You get an extremely shallow depth of field and pleasing bokeh. It's a perfect prime with this camera for walk-around situations. It's pro big sister is more than three times as heavy, more than twice as.long and three times the price. So, if you're not always shooting in extreme low-light situations or exposed to wet conditions, this small lens is a better choice.
